My power steering rack doesn't work correctly, shows "steering defective do not drive", or "B2000 DTC" still present

If after you receive your rebuilt power steering module you still have the B2000:00 or B2000:49 DTC or Steering Defective message on the instrument, please ensure to perform a calibration procedure with a good OBDII scan tool. VCDS or ODIS are recommended but any bi-directional OBDII scan tool should be able to perform this procedure.
It is also possible that the power steering rack has mechanically failed. We don't rebuild the power steering rack at the moment, however, we do repair the power steering module that mounts to it. Ensure none of the pins sticking out of the power steering rack are bent or broken.

Troubleshooting:
1. Ensure the Battery is fully charged and is good.
1. Verify whether or not the power steering rack physically works. Let us know which one it is.
2. If you're OBDII scan tool is bi-directional, perform a recalibration in-vehicle step-by-step to ensure the power steering module and power steering rack are functioning correctly.
3. If Steps 1-3 do not help, plug in an OBDII scan tool and identify which codes you're still getting. Let us know what those exact codes (DTCs) are so we can assist you further.
