I had my FRM footwell module serviced. It worked fine for a few days but my windows randomly go down by themselves.
On many BMWs and Mini Coopers, holding the unlock button will make the windows go down. This is a great feature but what if the windows are rolling down by themselves?
This could be related to the key fob itself. If there is a connectivity issue, or the button is in an area where that button is pressed for longer than needed, the windows will indeed roll down.
If the issue is happening even when the button on the key fob isn't pressed, then there could be a syncing issue with a computer module like the FRM or poor grounding in the wiring.
A hard battery reset should help resolve this issue along with replacing the battery in the key fob.
