I am purchasing a TCM, why is a firmware update needed? Is it necessary?

The new  TCM firmware has the most updated software from the manufacturer. This update is required for all exchanges and is optional for the repairs. If you opt out of the firmware update you could potentially have the same issues. If you are sending in your TCM to be repaired, we typically check the firmware to ensure it is updated to the latest version. Because the update is an Add-on service, we will reach out to you first to confirm you want us to proceed.
