 Common Solution

If the solid surface burner is not functioning, it is likely that the element has burned out. Similar to other burners, the element contains a heating element that glows hot when electricity is applied. This heat is then transferred to the solid surface above it. Over time, elements can burn out, much like lightbulbs. If the solid element is not working and electricity cannot pass through it, it will need to be replaced. Follow the provided instructions to safely remove and replace the element. Burnt out elements cannot be repaired, so replacing it will restore proper heating functionality.
