How do I get a shipping label from you?

Using the shipping label provided by UpFix

When you place an order on upfix.com or the UpFix mobile app, we will provide you with a shipping label that you can use to send your parts to us for repair. While you are not obligated to use our provided shipping label, there will be no charge if you opt not to use it. To track the shipment of your parts to UpFix, simply visit your order confirmation page and click on "track my order." Here, you will find the tracking number and details of the package you sent to us for repair.

Using your own shipping label

If you decide to take care of your own shipping to send parts to UpFix, it is important to save the tracking number provided by the shipping carrier you choose. This tracking number will allow you to monitor the progress of your shipment and ensure that your parts arrive safely at our repair center. Keeping track of the tracking details will help you stay informed about the status of your package and provide peace of mind throughout the repair process.

What box to use?

For shipping parts for repair, the size of the box you should use depends on the dimensions and fragility of the part. We do not supply the box for shipping your parts to UpFix for repair. However, we will use a new box when sending the repaired parts back to you for added protection during transit.

However, here are some general guidelines to follow:

  1. Measure the Part: Measure the length, width, and height of the part to determine the appropriate box size.

  2. Allow for Padding: Choose a box that provides at least 2-3 inches (5-8 cm) of space on all sides for padding materials such as bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or foam.

  3. Weight Considerations: Ensure the box is sturdy enough to support the weight of the part. Heavy-duty corrugated boxes are recommended for heavier items.

  4. Shipping Requirements: Check with your shipping carrier for any specific size or weight restrictions. Some carriers have maximum dimensions for standard shipping rates.

  5. Labeling: Clearly label the box with the appropriate shipping and return addresses, and indicate that it contains fragile items if necessary.

Example:

If you have a part that measures 12 inches (30 cm) long, 8 inches (20 cm) wide, and 4 inches (10 cm) high, you should use a box that is at least 16 inches (40 cm) long, 12 inches (30 cm) wide, and 8 inches (20 cm) high to accommodate padding.

Always use sufficient padding to protect the part during transit and ensure that the box is securely sealed with packing tape.
