      Reasons To Maintain Your Dishwasher
      Maintaining your dishwasher is essential to ensure it operates efficiently, extends its lifespan, and produces clean and sanitized dishes. Follow this dishwasher maintenance plan to keep your appliance in top condition.
       
      Monthly Tasks:
      Clean the Filter:
      • Remove the dishwasher's filter (check your user manual for instructions).
      • Rinse it under running water to remove food particles and debris.
      • Reinsert the filter into its place.
      Inspect Spray Arms:
      • Check the spray arms for clogs or debris.
      • Remove any obstructions with a toothpick or a small brush.
      Run an Empty Cycle:
      • Occasionally run an empty dishwasher cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or white vinegar to remove mineral deposits and buildup.
       
      Quarterly Tasks:
      Clean Interior and Gaskets:

      • Check the water supply line and drain hose for leaks.
      • Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
      Clean Exterior:
      • Wipe down the exterior of the dishwasher, including the control panel, with a damp cloth.
      • Use a stainless-steel cleaner for stainless steel exteriors.
       
      Annual Tasks:
      Check and Clean the Drain Pump:
      • Turn off the power to the dishwasher.
      • Access the drain pump (refer to the user manual).
      • Remove any debris or foreign objects that may have accumulated.
      Replace Dishwasher Rack Wheels (if applicable):
