Can I drive or move my car/truck without PSM Power Steering Module (rack and pinion module)
No, you typically cannot drive a vehicle without a functioning Power Steering Module (PSM) or Rack and Pinion Power Steering Module. These components are crucial for steering assistance. Without them, the steering would be extremely heavy and difficult to maneuver, especially at low speeds or when parking.
While the vehicle might technically start and move, it would be unsafe and impractical to drive without a working power steering system, as it significantly affects control and handling of the vehicle.
Also, if you drive with the PSM removed…the power steering electric motors and sensors would be exposed to even more water ingress which would require rebuilding the power steering rack itself if any of those components fail.
