I have a Freightliner. Intermittently, the truck does not want to start and then other times all of my gauges go haywire. Is my issue the CPC4?
The CPC4 has a commonly known issue that can affect acceleration, engine control functions, as well as gauges. If your CPC4 hasn't been refurbished yet, we highly recommend getting that done.
A failing CPC4 can prevent the truck from starting, instrument cluster dashboard issues, and other faults. The problems can be intermittent or complete power loss.
It's recommended to first scan the Freightliner with a good scan tool like Diagnostic Link to see what codes are displaying that way you can determine if the CPC4 is really at fault.
If the FMI codes and symptoms match what we repair for the CPC4 on our website, send it in and we'll refurbish your unit.
