[ABS Module](https://info.upfix.com/kb/automotive?hsLang=en#abs-module) # Do I need to send in the pump with the ABS module? **No. DO NOT** send the ABS hydraulic pump with your ABS module, **unless the UpFix service page** for your specific vehicle/service specifically instructs you to send the complete assembly. For an ABS / EBCM module repair, **send ONLY the electronic ABS control module** to UpFix. **Leave the hydraulic pump / ABS hydraulic unit installed in the vehicle.** UpFix repairs the electronic ABS control module — **we do not need the hydraulic pump for the standard ABS module repair service.** ### What should I send? ✅ **Send:** Electronic ABS control module only ❌ **Do NOT send:** ABS hydraulic pump ❌ **Do NOT send:** Complete ABS pump/module assembly **Only send the hydraulic pump or complete assembly if the UpFix service page for that specific vehicle/service explicitly instructs you to do so.** ### Important Remove the ABS fuse before driving or operating the vehicle with the ABS control module removed. This helps prevent the ABS motor from running. ### Why should I not send the pump? The hydraulic pump is not repaired as part of the standard ABS module repair service. Sending the pump: - increases shipping costs because of the additional weight - increases the risk of shipping damage - can damage mounting tabs, connectors, sensors, hydraulic fittings, or electronic components - may delay the repair if the assembly is damaged during shipping ### What if I cannot separate the ABS module from the pump? **Do not ship the complete assembly without contacting UpFix first.** Contact UpFix for assistance. An UpFix representative will let you know whether the complete assembly should be sent for your specific application. **Default rule: Send ONLY the electronic ABS control module unless the UpFix service page for your specific vehicle/service explicitly tells you to send the complete assembly.** -
