Audi Power Steering Module - Steering Defective error message. Hard Battery reset won't help, what else can I try? Error message.

Using a good OBDII scan tool that can communicate with the power steering module like VCDS Ross-Tech or another bi-directional OBDII scan tool will help.

 

Try performing a hard reset and re-adaptation in the vehicle if you still have a B2000 DTC or 'Steering Defective' message.

 

Since this power steering module is exposed to outside elements on the bottom, ensure that it is well secured on the power steering rack and the 3 plugs going into the module are fully seated.
